Winter concert 2024

On December 12, 2024, the festively decorated school canteen of the German International School Dubai was transformed into an atmospheric concert hall.

Parents, friends, student and staff gathered to celebrate the pre-Christmas season together and enjoy a musical program under the musical Head of Valentyna Halushko and Carlos Teixeira. The staff choir kicked things off with an impressive performance of "Carol of the Bells", which immediately put the audience in a festive mood.

The primary school choir delighted the audience with a Christmas play and a medley of traditional songs that warmed the hearts of those present.

The fifth-graders livened up the evening with their energetic rendition of Jingle Bell Rock, while the sixth-graders invited the audience to hum along with a soulful version of Last Christmas.

Another highlight was the school band, whose modern arrangements proved just how versatile and talented the young musicians are. The evening ended with a joint performance by the staff choir with Head of School Dr. Sammy Wafi on the violin and Carlos Teixeira on the flute to "It's the most wonderful time of the year", which together conveyed a festive message of community and joy. Jette and Nada from class 5a hosted the evening with great charm.

The Winter Concert 2024 was a great success and a wonderful start to the festive season. A big thank you to all the performers who made this evening so special!
