Transparent performance evaluation
At DISD, we value fair and transparent assessment. Our assessment approach makes individual learning progress visible and focuses on strengths and development potential.

Our assessments
In addition to the usual classwork/exams, tests and presentations, we use various standardized tests to specifically measure and promote competencies:

• CAT-4 (Cognitive Abilities Test) – Verbal-logical, quantitative, nonverbal and spatial reasoning (Grades 3, 5, 7, 9, 11)
• Online diagnosis (Westermann) – German, mathematics (grades 2–11), English (from grade 5)
• ABT (Arabic Benchmark Test) – Arabic (Grades 4, 6, 8, 10)
• ISBT (Islamic Education Benchmark Test) – Islamic Religious Studies Arabic (Grades 4, 6, 8, 10)
