At DISD, we value fair and transparent assessment. Our assessment approach makes individual learning progress visible and focuses on strengths and development potential.
Our assessments
In addition to the usual classwork/exams, tests and presentations, we use various standardized tests to specifically measure and promote competencies:
- CAT-4 (Cognitive Abilities Test) – Verbal-logical, quantitative, nonverbal and spatial reasoning (Grades 3, 5, 7, 9, 11)
- Online diagnosis (Westermann) – German, mathematics (grades 2–11), English (from grade 5)
- ABT (Arabic Benchmark Test) – Arabic (Grades 4, 6, 8, 10)
- ISBT (Islamic Education Benchmark Test) – Islamic Religious Studies Arabic (Grades 4, 6, 8, 10)
