DISD International Programs:
Model UN, Model G20 & Global Leadership Skills
DISD offers students in Grade 10 and above a unique portfolio of international diplomacy and leadership programs: from Model United Nations (Harvard MUN, Oxford MUN) to Model G20. Here, our student develop student negotiation skills, present their own positions to international audiences, and gain visibility on global stages such as the WHO in Geneva.
What successes havestudent already achievedstudent these programs?
In June 2025, a DISD delegation attended the H20 Global Health Summit at WHO headquarters in Geneva. Two of our student, Lara Gutmann and Luca Erkol, were subsequently officially named Youth Ambassadors for the G20 Health and Development Partnership, and four members of our delegation received the Future Health Leaders Award. A proud moment for the DISD school community!
Oxford MUN
Oxford MUN offers DISD students the opportunity to participate in one of the UK's most prestigious Model UN conferences and to test their diplomatic debating skills at the international level.

Harvard MUN
Harvard MUN is one of the most prestigious Model UN conferences in the world; DISD delegations participate annually and represent the school on the international stage.

Model G20
Model G20 at DISD simulates negotiations among G20 countries on global health and development issues; the program is closely linked to the real-world G20 Health and Development Partnership.

Who is eligible to participate in DISD's international programs?
The international programs (Model UN, Harvard MUN, Oxford MUN, Model G20) are open to student and student 10th grade. Prior experience in debate or diplomacy is helpful, but what matters most is an interest in global issues and a willingness to prepare.

What is the difference between Model G20 and Model UN?
Model UN simulates the United Nations and its bodies, while Model G20 focuses on the negotiations among G20 countries on economic and health issues. Model G20 at DISD is also directly linked to the real-world G20 Health and Development Partnership.
