Cultural exchange during joint iftar

In view of the continuous efforts for tolerance, openness and cultural exchange, our principal Michael Lummel accepted the invitation of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Centre for Islamic Culture to a joint Iftar for all principals of private schools in Dubai on Saturday at the Intercontinental Dubai Festival City.

Our principal shared the table with Dr. Mohammed Ayada Alkobaisi, the Grand Mufti for Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai and keynote speaker that evening. Michael Lummel himself also had the great honor of addressing the 200 or so invited guests. "It is now my third Ramadan and finally it was possible to gather together. Cultural exchange was a main reason for me to go abroad and it was a very nice evening to build bridges between cultures and have an iftar together," said the DISD principal.

At the unique iftar, guests from different walks of life, cultures and backgrounds got to know the spirit of Ramadan even better and broke the fast together.
