Pedagogical concept

In a friendly, familiar school atmosphere, cognitive, social and individual learning finds the best conditions. Our Primary School students develop into independent thinkers who have found their place in school and family.

We live our mission statement "Citizens of the world set sail". We use state-of-the-art learning methods to reliably prepare our primary school pupils for their future school tasks. The playful learning from kindergarten and pre-school is structured in the Primary School . Learning and working techniques are promoted step by step so that the children are ready for the transition to Secondary School at the end of Year 4.

We teach according to the Thuringian curriculum and the language of instruction is German. The oral and written mastery of the German language is of paramount importance for further education and is strongly encouraged and promoted. However, English is also taught intensively from the first grade onwards and the children learn Arabic.

The daily routine at the Primary School is structured and coordinated in such a way that, in addition to learning needs, movement, play and rest needs are also taken into account. In addition to the development of cognitive skills, sporting and artistic activities as well as educational aspects play an important role - politeness, tolerance and consideration for others are the cornerstones of this. We offer a support concept for student with learning difficulties as well as a comprehensive program for German as a foreign language (DaF).
