“Her outstanding commitment not only demonstrated her exceptional talent, but also filled our school with great pride,” summarized accompanying teacher Ms. Willgrass.
The conference challenged participants to engage intensively with current global challenges and develop creative, sustainable solutions in the form of resolutions. The DISD students demonstrated not only analytical thinking but also teamwork and intercultural competence by collaborating with delegates from all over the world.

Personal impressions of the award winners
"HMUN was an incredible opportunity not only to develop my diplomatic skills, but also to gain new perspectives and make friends with participants from all over the world," reflected Luca. "The award is a great honor and motivates me to continue working on my skills."
Hala also shared her experience: "This conference showed me how important it is to communicate openly and respectfully with others to find common solutions. The award means a lot to me as it reflects the hard work we've done as a team."
Appreciation of the teachers
Mrs. Kolburan, another accompanying teacher, emphasized the importance of participation: “It was impressive to see the commitment and professionalism with which our student * participated in the discussions. We are very grateful to have successfully represented our school at an international event. To experience this unique opportunity here in the UAE – for which other schools had to endure a 15-hour flight – is a privilege. Luca and Hala performed outstandingly. We are extremely proud of all the participants."

The Harvard Model United Nations provided our students with a platform to acquire key skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
