Trip to Jameel Art Center

The student of the 8th grade visited the Jameel Art Center in Dubai on 06.11.19 with their teachers Mrs. Walaa Tawfik, Mrs. Antonia Gadzo and Mr. Julian Kleij as part of the art lessons. Here they had the opportunity to get to know a variety of works by local and international artists.

The tour of the gallery, with its modern paintings, graphic drawing, sculptures, installations, and architectural works, introduced the students to the broader concept of art, inspiring them to further ideas for their own practice. Some of the artworks were even hands-on.

In the subsequent workshop with artist Engy Mahdy, the student were able to apply, deepen and expand the knowledge and drawing skills they had acquired in art class. The student made drawings on the theme of optical illusions.
