THE DISD PRE-SCHOOL INTRODUCES ITSELF

In the pre-school individual learning targets should be achieved and motivation for age-appropriate learning should be created. It is especially important to establish the general prerequisites for academic learning. The following aspects are important for learning success:

  • the pleasure and joy of learning,
  • an awakening interest in something,
  • an animating environment and
  • above all time.

If curiosity is raised and the environment is agreeable, it is then that children show themselves willing to learn by themselves. This gentle school entry phase greatly facilitates the later transition to the first class.

The pre-school takes place once a week.
