“Lesekoffer” Project in Kindergarten and Primary School

“Lesekoffer” start their journey through the DISD On October 16th a special initiative to support children in learning and loving to read. In Kindergarten and Primary school, “Lesekoffer” (Reading aloud suitcases) were distributed, full of books, to awake the curiosity and interest in books in the students. New Employees 2018/19

NEW EMPLOYEES 2018/19 An overview and short introduction of our new employees in the new school year 2018/19. Mr Prince Sudhir is the new Technician and Electrician at DISD. Pro-active DISD students’ council

Pro-active DISD students’ council The student representatives of grade 5 to 12 had their first big students’ council assembly on September 30th. In this first meeting they elected one representative per two grades, who will participate in the upcoming small students’ council assemblies and inform the other class representatives via email about the results. Spelling Bee in 5b

Spelling Bee in 5b Following the American example Spelling Bee, our English teacher Susanne Bode organized a spelling competition with class 5b. The students had to spell English words in a limited time with increasing degree of difficulty. The winner of the Spelling Bee is Amina. She won the final round against the other finalists Nicolas, Mira und Theresina. The whole class participated with lots of enthusiasm and joy, therefore all of them received a well-deserved certificate of achievement.

Successful International Day at DISD

Successful International Day at DISD With the motto „one school – many nationalities “, we celebrated our diversity at DISD. A group of committed parents organized the first International Day at DISD on Thursday, September 20th.
